Electronic Data Systems on Wednesday said NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has signed a contract to use its computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering software. The agreement, which was sealed in the third quarter of 2002, also calls for the information technology services giant to provide services to the laboratory. The laboratory will employ EDS' Unigraphics NX and I-deas software to consolidate the number of computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering systems used at Pasadena, Calif.-based JPL. The laboratory already uses EDS' Teamcenter lifecycle management software. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
