CIOs stress security at Gartner Symposium
The Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and the recent Nimda and Code Red virus outbreaks make security a top priority for leading CIOs across the country.
CNET News.com senior correspondent Hari Sreenivasan polled CIOs at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2001 in Orlando, Fla., to find out how they are bullet-proofing their IT infrastructure. CIOs interviewed included Tony Cicco of the General Accounting Office and Alex Alexander of Computer Task Group. Sreenivasan also asked one of Gartner's leading security analysts, William Malik, what companies can do to better prepare for a security breach.
