Computer Associates today made a move to simplify document management for its customers.

="http: www.cai.com="" "="">CA's Global Professional Services (GPS) division unveiled its new Enterprise Document Management Solutions (EMDS) practice, which aims to help customers take advantage of products and services from a group of the industry's top developers.

The Islandia, New York-based software and services giant, said its new service will help boost client productivity, reduce costs, and speed up the business process by eliminating the need to use numerous document management service providers.

EMDS is offering products and services from development management companies, such as Hyland Software, Datacap, and ="http: www.filenet.com="" "="">Filenet. With the help of these alliances, EDMS can meet a client's software, hardware, and support services needs and eliminate clients' need to manage services internally.

GPS is offering 24-hour global support of its clients' document management systems. This includes the use of CA's Unicenter, a management platform that provides remote monitoring of all network, systems, and software components of the service.
