Brocade to fight lawsuit from rival

Brocade Communications said a suit brought by rival storage networking equipment maker McData is "without merit." "Following an initial review of the claim, Brocade believes that these claims are without merit and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously," Brocade said in a statement Friday. McData sued Thursday, saying Brocade violated patents relating to monitoring the transfer of data within a switch.
