Days after a report suggested that a billionaire activist investor wanted to replace Jack Dorsey as Twitter's CEO, another company's chief executive came to Dorsey's defense. Tesla and SpaceX boss Elon Musk, a constant tweeter with more than 30 million followers -- sent an affectionate tweet late Monday.
"Just want say that I support @Jack as Twitter CEO. He has a good heart," Musk wrote, with a heart emoji.

On Friday, Bloomberg reported that Elliott Management founder Paul Singer -- who has a "sizable" stake in Twitter -- was working on a plan to make major changes at the social media company that included nominating four directors to its board and replacing Dorsey.
One of Musk's followers expressed hope that Dorsey is working to combat the social media platform's problems with verifications and bots, which the Tesla boss agreed is "vital." He mentioned this issue to Dorsey back in January, when the Twitter boss videocalled him in a company meeting stunt.
Musk uses Twitter to update his fans about his companies' ambitious plans and to make odd jokes, but his tweets have gotten him in trouble too. In 2018, he referred to a British cave diver as "pedo guy" and kicked off a defamation case (he was ultimately found not liable). He also hinted that he might take automaker Tesla private, which triggered an SEC lawsuit that ended up being settled for $20 million.
Twitter declined to comment about Musk's tweet.
