NEC certifies Red Hat on fault-tolerant servers
It's the first time the software has been certified on Express5800/320Ma servers, NEC says.
NEC has certified 4 for use on its Express5800/320Ma server, a fault-tolerant machine that uses backup components to protect against hardware failures. It's the first time the software has been certified on the server family, the company said. NEC made the announcement at the LinuxWorld Conference and Expo on Tuesday.
The company also began offering support services in conjunction with the Red Hat software, including a $1,299-per-year subscription for support during business hours and $2,099 for round-the-clock support.
