Marines tap Dell for notebook contract

Dell has been awarded a $17.7 million contract to supply notebook computers to the Marine Corps. The Round Rock, Texas-based company will supply approximately 10,000 notebooks to the Corps to support its technology infrastructure until the Navy and Marine Corps make the transition to a new intranet. The contract is expected to be completed by June.
