President Bush said Tuesday that he will nominate Jonathan Dudas to run the . Currently, Dudas is the deputy director of the patent office and has been acting director since James Rogan left last year.

If approved by the Senate, Dudas, a former staff director of the House Judiciary Committee, would take over at a time when Congress is considering revamping the way the patent office gets its money.
