Following are some of the notable tech-related events scheduled for the week of Nov. 23.

Technology trade shows and earnings will take a break in the coming week, as the Thanksgiving holiday nears.

The few trade shows that are scheduled for the week will occur in Asia and Europe, rather than the United States.

Monday, Nov. 24

  • Show me the money. The European IT Banking Forum will cover everything from getting the most from an investment in customer relationship management software to locating various sources for IT products, Nov. 24-25, Milan, Italy.

Earnings

Tuesday, Nov. 25

  • Tech Data distributes technology products. The company is expected to report a third-quarter profit of 43 cents a share.

Economic Reports

Tuesday, Nov. 25

  • Consumer Confidence tracks the results of a broad survey on consumer spending expectations. The November index is expected to rise to 82.8 from 81.1 the previous month.

  • Home Sales tracks housing activity. October sales of existing homes are expected to fall to 6.5 million from 6.69 million the previous month. New home sales are expected to dip to 1.13 million from 1.14 million the previous month.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 26

    • Durable Goods measures the value of all goods shipped or ordered with an intended lifespan of three years or more. The total is expected to fall to 0.5 percent in October, compared with 0.8 percent the previous month.

  • Personal Income measures income from all sources. October growth is expected to remain flat at 0.3 percent from the previous month.
