VirtualBank teams up with NFL great
Former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino is throwing his name behind a new marketing deal with VirtualBank. Marino and the online banking company are launching MarinoVirtualBank.com, which is essentially VirtualBank with the future NFL Hall of Fame player's name attached to it. Marino, who owns an undisclosed share of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.-based VirtualBank, is donating all the proceeds from the venture to charity, said Courtney McCashland, executive vice president of marketing. Some of VirtualBank's other investors are GE Capital and Credit Suisse First Boston. Marino retired from professional football last year after 17 seasons in the NFL.
