Vignette launches customized portal

Vignette on Thursday launched a Web portal service that provides customized tools, hosted services and e-business information for its customers and partners to use as they build and automate their businesses online. Vignette Global Marketplace is designed to help the company's partners and clients gain access to online training expertise, products, applications and services online. To help navigate the knowledge base, Vignette has built a new application service, Vignette Solution Builder, which is a knowledge management tool that combines personalization techniques with an inquiry process. People will be able to describe a scenario, their role within a project, the industry they are involved in and the goals they want to achieve, and the tool will then deliver a customized service offering.
