Tomorrow Daily 064: PrintScreen displays, Microsoft's RoomAlive concept and more
On today's show, we check out PrintScreen, a project claiming to allow you to print out displays cheaply at home; RoomAlive, Microsoft's new "Holodeck" projector concept; and DXM Labworks, a research app designed to help teens decide against DXM abuse.
PrintScreen says you can use its technology and print out a screen on everyday office paper. It's pretty great, but we're also the kind of people who would print out a display, then have no clue what to do next. We guess we'll have to learn a little coding to be able to really take advantage of this type of technology.
We're also happy to see Microsoft Research continuing its projection tech with RoomAlive. Sure, it's totally unrealistic to think you would ever install this in your house, but the technology is interesting, and we're sure it'll be integrated in some way into future products. That's what research labs are for!
