Sun to offer Micromuse software

Sun Microsystems' professional services group will resell Micromuse's Netcool monitoring and management software under an agreement announced this week. The software gauges issues such as the response time of Internet services, where problems lie in a computer network, and who is affected. "We believe that this announcement is a strong validation that Micromuse is becoming the industry standard infrastructure management solution," W.R. Hambrecht analyst Prakesh Patel said in a research note about the deal.
