Storability sells services group to StorageTek
Storability Software, a company that has switched from running other company's storage systems to one that is selling software, sold its services group to StorageTek for an undisclosed amount, the Southborough, Mass.-based company said Wednesday.
Storability's software is used for managing storage systems attached to networks, an increasingly popular move compared with direct attachments to a single server. StorageNetworks, a Storability rival, made a similar business change after the "storage service provider" market didn't live up to the company's hopes.
