Yesssssssss.

Donald Glover ("Community" and "Atlanta") will play Lando Calrissian in the still-untitled Han Solo Star Wars prequel helmed by directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, Lucasfilm said Friday.

Not everyone can play the smooth-talking buddy of Han Solo. After all, actor Billy Dee Williams made the character such a sci-fi icon he still lends his voice to the character when Lando pops up in Star Wars video games, or in the popular Disney animated TV series "Star Wars Rebels."

What remains to be seen is the new Lando's on-screen chemistry with star Alden Ehrenreich -- you know, Han Freaking Solo. Fingers crossed this is the buddy movie to end all buddy movies.

"This new film depicts Lando in his formative years as a scoundrel on the rise in the galaxy's underworld -- years before the events involving Han, Leia, and Darth Vader in 'The Empire Strikes Back' and his rise to Rebel hero in 'Return of the Jedi,'" Lucasfilm said on the official Star Wars website.

"We're so lucky to have an artist as talented as Donald join us," Lord and Miller added. "These are big shoes to fill, and an even bigger cape, and this one fits him perfectly, which will save us money on alterations. Also, we'd like to publicly apologize to Donald for ruining Comic-Con for him forever."

Here's hoping Star Wars fans also get to see that fated moment when Han Solo beat Lando at a game of sabacc and won the ultimate prize -- the Millennium Falcon.

The untitled Han Solo movie is set for release in 2018.
