Siebel Systems plans to release a pay-by-the-month version of its customer information system in Europe this spring, the company said Wednesday. The service, Siebel CRM OnDemand, will be available in the coming weeks for 70 euros per month--about $83--and competes with software hosting services from Salesforce.com and others. As part of the European introduction, the service is now available in French, Spanish, Italian and German, and supports multiple currencies, Siebel said.

The San Mateo, Calif., company began selling its OnDemand service in the United States last year in partnership with IBM, which helped Siebel develop the software and hosts it at its data centers. IBM is also Siebel's hosting partner in Europe. The company launched another OnDemand service earlier this year in Britain through a partnership with British Telecom.
