Following a strong response from loyal Macintosh users, Wells Fargo bank said it now will not discontinue its online banking service for the Mac version of Quicken, Intuit's personal finance software. About 7,000 Wells Fargo customers who use Macs received letters announcing that, due to lagging interest and high support costs, Quicken for Mac service would end in August. About 500,000 customers use Wells' online banking service.
