Short Take: Wal-Mart to hawk Handspring handhelds

Wal-Mart will begin selling Handspring products in 500 stores nationwide and on its Web site, the companies announced Monday. Starting later this month, Wal-Mart will begin offering Visor handheld computers, accessories and Springboard expansion modules. "Wal-Mart offers a unique geographic profile?and affords us the opportunity to expand into diverse markets where we have not yet established inroads," said Greg Woock, vice president of North American sales for Handspring.
