Short Take: Verifone chief to retire

Hatim A. Tyabji, chairman, president, and CEO of VeriFone, announced today that he will retire from his posts at the end of this year. The secure payment solutions company will report to William Russell, vice president of parent company Hewlett-Packard, until Tyabji's successor has been named. Tyabji will continue to serve on the boards of directors for Deluxe Corporation, Novatel Wireless, and Ariba Technologies.
