Short Take: Toshiba ships SDRAM chips

Toshiba America Electronic Components has started shipping samples of its 64-megabit synchronous DRAMs or SDRAMs. The memory chips are available in three speeds: 83 MHz, 100 MHz, and 125 MHz, priced between $72 and $88. Volume production is scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
