Toshiba America Electronic Components announced the TC58V64FT, a 3.3-volt, 64-megabit flash chip for products such as portable computers, voice recorders, digital still cameras, and digital telephone answering machines as well as cellular phones and other data communication devices. The chips will be generally available in the third quarter of 1997; the cost will be $65 for lots of 1,000 pieces.
