Short Take: Tandem to use Digital's 64-bit Unix

In an expected move, the Tandem Computers arm of Compaq Computer will utilize Digital Equipment's 64-bit version of Unix going forward as the operating system it provides to telecommunications customers and other high-end markets. Digital is currently finalizing a merger with Compaq. Sequest Computer Systems has already signed on as a licensee of Digital's brand of Unix.
