Short Take: Symantec revenue and income rise

Symantec's revenues for the December 1996 quarter came in at $124.1 million, up from $111.1 million for the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net income of $13.9 million, or 25 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $36.8 million, or 69 cents per share, a year ago. Last year's loss reflected a nonrecurring charge of 70 cents per share.
