Semiconductor market research analyst Semico Research released the results of a study that projects annual sales of handhelds, palm-top computers, and smart phones to be $7.5 billion by 2003. Demand for the devices will be driven by corporate, small business, and personal users, the study says. It also looks at market competition among Palm Computing, Psion, and Windows CE-based devices.
