Short Take: Sony's robot dogs await owners

Sony Electronics began selling its newest version of Aibo the robot dog Thursday in the United States. Aibo ERS-210, which costs $1,500, recognizes up to 50 spoken words and has seven touch sensors located on its head, chin, back and paws. The company is selling the robot dog at its stores in New York, San Francisco and Chicago, as well as at The Sharper Image. Sony is also hawking Aibo on the Web.
