Short Take: Seagate names new CFO

Seagate Technology has named Charles Pope to the chief financial officer's position. Donald Waite, former CFO, will continue as the company's executive vice president and chief administrative officer, focusing on human resources, legal affairs, investor relations, and other functions. Pope, who most recently was Seagate's senior vice president of storage products, now will oversee all of the company's financial functions.
