Short Take: SAP America lays off 58

SAP America laid off 58 employees from its consulting business who had low booking rates or were not on projects. Spokesman Bill Wohl said the cuts were not directly related to newly elected chief executive Wolfgang Kemna's plans for a company "adjustment." SAP America, which has undergone a recent management shuffle, currently employs approximately 5,400 workers.
