Short Take: Publisher to host freeware meeting

High-tech publisher O'Reilly and Associates will host a meeting of the "freeware" minds tomorrow in Palo Alto, California. The meeting, which is closed to the public, will bring together the inventors of several software programs who have released the source code of their inventions to the Net community. The "freeware" or free software movement spurred Netscape Communications to release the source code of its Communicator suite last week.
