Short Take: PointCast inks deals for new services
Push technology pioneer PointCast has inked deals with a number of brand-name companies who will provide financial and business services on the PointCast Business Network. As part of the deal, two new services will be offered on the network: Preferred Online Broker, a trading service on the newly upgraded Companies channel, and EntryPoint, a business services center. Ameritrade, DLJdirect, E*Trade, and Suretrade will offer integrated online stock and mutual fund trading on the Preferred Online Broker program, while EntryPoint's charter sponsors will include CareerPath, OnSale, Travelocity, and Zip2.
