Short Take: Petsmart online store launches

Add another online pet store with today's launch of Petsmart.com, a joint venture of the largest brick-and-mortar retail chain, Petsmart, and Idealab, the Internet incubator of entrepreneur Bill Gross. The launch comes six weeks after the two announced their venture, which absorbed Idealab's PetJungle.com storefront. Other online pet stores include Pets.com, Petstore.com, and soon-to-launch Petopia.
