Internet Security Systems and Top Layer Networks have announced a product to detect intruders on network equipment as well as computers, the companies announced. The companies merged ISS' SafeSuite software with Top Layer's AppSwitch software to create a product that can recognize suspicious network traffic and route suspicious traffic to servers that can monitor the suspicious activity. The software works on network equipment running as fast as 800 megabits per second, the companies said.
