Metrowerks has shipped a new version of its CodeWarrior software development tool for the Macintosh operating system. CodeWarrior 5.0 features support for Mac OS X, XML, and a a new drag-and-drop Java tool that lets developers quickly build graphical user interfaces. It also features Carbon, a set of application programming interfaces that enable source code to be compiled for both Mac OS 8 and Mac OS X. Cost is $449.
