Short Take: Lexmark reports record quarter

Lexmark International reported record revenues and net income for both the full year and the fourth quarter of 1996. For the quarter, revenue was $687 million, a six percent increase from the same period a year previous; net earnings increased 15 percent to $45 million, 59 cents a share, from $39 million. For the year, the company reported a 21 percent jump in operating income and a 45 percent jump in net earnings.
