Short Take: Intel cuts some Celeron prices

Intel has dropped the price on three of its Celeron processors a week after it unveiled a new 533-MHz Celeron. The 500-MHz Celeron dropped 10 percent from $143 to $128 while the 466 MHz dropped five percent from $94 to $89. The 433 Mhz dropped five percent as well to go from $73 to $69. Nonetheless, retailers were advertising chips at these prices before the cuts.
