Short Take: IBM appoints new PSP head

IBM has named J. Michael Lawrie to head its Personal Software Products division, the division responsible for IBM's OS/2 operating system. Lawrie replaces John W. Thompson, who has been promoted to general manager of IBM North America, according to a company representative. Lawrie was formerly general manager of industries for IBM's Asia Pacific Sales and Service organization.
