Short Take: FTC to address online ad laws

Citing the surge in online marketing, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission said it will hold a workshop to explain how its regulations apply to the Internet. The free workshop will be open to the public and consist of two sessions: one will use mock e-commerce ads to demonstrate how to determine whether product disclosures are made clearly and conspicuously; the second will discuss interpretations of the terms "written," "writing," and "printed" as they apply to the electronic media.
