Short Take: Digital upgrades notebooks

Digital announced three new models in its VP 500 notebook personal computer line. The HiNote VP 560, 565, and 575 models feature a 12.1-inch display and a removable combination CD-ROM/diskette drive that enables simultaneous use of both media. The 560 and 565 have 133-MHz Pentium processors; the HiNote 575 has a 166-MHz Pentium processor with MMX technology. Prices range from about $2,500 to $4,500.
