Short Take: Diamond Multimedia announces 56-kbps PC card

Diamond Multimedia introduced a 56-kbps PC card modem for Macintosh PowerBook notebooks. The Supra PC card is based on K56flex technology, but will be software upgradeable when an industry standard is agreed upon. It also features a sleep mode for preserving battery life. The Supra will be available in December 1997, for an estimated retail price of $170.
