Short Take: DG reports strong Q4

Data General reported a net income of $9.9 million, or 24 cents per share, for its fourth quarter ending September 28. That compares to $1.5 million, or 4 cents per share, for the same quarter last year. Revenue came in at $336.2 million for the quarter, an increase from $312.8 million last year. The company attributes some of the gain to a 20 percent increase in sales of its Aviion and Clariion products.
