Short Take: Cybercash software poses double billing threat

Cybercash's credit-card verification software, which is used by online merchants, could inadvertently lead to the double billing of customers if not properly upgraded, Cybercash said today. The Reston, Virginia, company said that it had tried to alert merchants that used its IC Verify, Net Verify, PC Verify and EZ Charge that the software needed to be upgraded to be Y2K compliant.
