Short Take: Compuware plans application server

Compuware plans to enter the application server market later this month with the release of its Uniface WebApplication Server. The product supports COM+, Corba, Enterprise JavaBeans, and two transaction monitors, BEA's Tuxedo and IBM's TXSeries. The application server also supports four operating systems--Windows NT, Unix, AS/400 and OS/390--and a variety of databases, including DB2, Informix, Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server.
