Check Point Software's stock was boosted as much as 33 percent after the company announced a jump in revenue for the third quarter ending in September, due to strong demand for security and encryption software. The stock was upgraded by a round of analysts, and traded as high as 44-1/2 before ending the day at 43-5/8, up 30 percent from the previous day's close of 33-1/2. About 4.5 million shares traded hands.
