Cadence Design Systems announced that its third-quarter revenue increased to $234.9 million, up from $188.7 million a year earlier. CDS attributed the improvement to key product-line growth in logic simulation, place-and-route, and physical-verification software and tools. Net income grew to $55.3 million, or 48 cents a share, compared with net income of $32.7 million, or 36 cents a share, a year ago.
