Short Take: CA ships updated Unicenter

Computer Associates delivered a revised version of its flagship Unicenter TNG product, adding new agents, integration with other management tools, and more platform support to the mix. The company originally discussed the update at its user conference in June. The agent technology allows the company to extend the performance management capabilities of its software. TNG now offers support for most popular Unix operating systems and some legacy environments, extending the platform from its initial Microsoft Windows NT focus.
