Austin Computer Systems announced the Austin Affinity LX, a small office server with upgrade potential. It ships with single or dual 200-MHz Intel Pentium Pro processors with 256KB of integrated L2 cache, 32MB RAM, 4-32bit bus mastering PCI Expansion Slots, a 2GB Fast/Wide Ultra SCSI Drive, PCI local bus video with 1MB DRAM, and a 14-inch monitor. The base model with a single 200-MHz Pentium Pro processor will be available November 11 for $3,799; the model with dual 200-MHz Pentium Pros for $4,599.
