AudioCodes announced the QuadVoIP, a multichannel voice communications processor for carrying voice and fax traffic over the Internet and other Internet Protocol networks. It is based on the H.323 visual telephony standard. Internet telephony gateways and wide area network voice routers make it possible to communicate by voice or fax anywhere in the world for the cost of a local call by transporting these calls over IP networks such as the Internet or intranets. Prototypes for evaluation will be available in February.
