Short Take: Ariba expands in Asia

As an example of business-to-business interest growing in Asia, Ariba says it has established "Nihon Ariba K.K." in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. The software maker's Japanese headquarters focuses on enabling companies to build online marketplaces in Japan and the greater Asia-Pacific region. Nihon Ariba will market the Ariba B2B Commerce Platform, including software for online procurement, marketplaces, auctions and reverse auctions, electronic payments, logistics, and other services.
