AppStream, which specializes in technology for speeding up networks, today announced it has received $35.5 million in second-round financing from Intel, Sun Microsystems, Qualcomm founder Andrew Viterbi, Deutsche Banc Alex Brown and others. In addition, AppStream will work with Intel and Sun, typically bitter rivals, in marketing and development opportunities. The company focuses on "intelligent streaming" technology that accelerates data transfer on a network.
