Short Take: Amazon.com to serve small publishers as well

Online bookseller announced that it will give independent publishers the same 24-hour delivery service to customers as it does for large publishers. It will also offer free scanning of book covers, book description, excerpts, and other information to increase the sales of small publishers' books. Amazon.com, the largest online bookseller, carries more than 2.5 million titles from more than 50,000 publishers.
