Software maker Adobe Systems said chief financial officer Harold Covert is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. Murray Demo, Adobe's vice president and corporate controller, has been named interim chief financial officer. Adobe chief executive John Warnock said Covert was vital in turning around the once struggling maker of graphics and desktop publishing software. Warnock also said the company is on track to deliver a "solid" first quarter.
